Spin Jet®

Floor & Grate
Cleaners

NLB's patented SPIN JET® rotating spray systems have proven their ability in the harshest environments. Applications include paint booth grate cleaning, coating removal, highway stripe removal, airport runway rubber removal, surface preparation, concrete scarification, and hydrodemolition.

Now NLB’s lightweight models make the power of rotating water jets more maneuverable than ever. Designed for operator comfort and low maintenance, Vortex™ floor and grate cleaners can be used independently, or as part of a HydroPrep™ system.

FEATURES/BENEFITS:

• Vacuum recovery available.

• Uses NLB's Barjet™ ultra-high pressure spray bar.

• Fast-acting NLB dump valve (DSJ12260), constructed of stainless steel, reduces water pressure to near-zero when in dump position.

• Hard rubber wheels for easy movement over a number of surfaces.

• Air-powered for consistent rotational speed.

HydroPrep Systems

NLB’s versatile HydroPrep™ system quickly removes coatings, scale, rust, and other tough adherents from steel and other metal surfaces, leaving a “white metal” finish. It also prepares concrete without damage. A wide range of accessories lets users perform automated or semi-automated surface preparation.

VertaJet™ Model SRT-6

The NLB VertaJet™ SRT-6 was specifically designed for large, vertical surfaces. The hand-held system, attached to a vacuum source, allows an operator to clean while collecting the wastewater and debris. A steel surface is clean and dry in a single pass.

The system will remove paint, epoxy and other coatings from storage tanks, ship hulls and buildings without dust or sparks, and minimizes containment concerns.

The 6” cleaning path allows for greater production rates while the lightweight aluminum frame and counterbalance reduce operator fatigue.

The VertaJet™ SRT-6 uses a dual trigger operating system, similar to the Model NCG8400A-3 hand-held lance, to control a Bi-Mode Valve. The valve dumps the system pressure if the operator releases either trigger.

VertaJet™ Model SRT-6
FEATURES/BENEFITS:

• Vacuum attachment for recovery of water and debris.

• Counterbalanced to minimize operator fatigue.

• Compact design lightweight aluminum construction.

• Uses NLB BARJET™ and NLB8466 BI-Mode™ Valve technology.

• 6” (15 cm) cleaning pattern.

Vacuum System

NLB's BM15986 is a compact, lightweight source of vacuum for recovering water and debris. It easily mounts in the back of a pick-up truck, with a 220-gallon (833 l) tank.

The system provides 1,000 cfm @ 6"-8" (152-203 mm) of mercury. It fits into a 4' x 8' space (1.2 x 2.4 m) and weighs just 2,000 lbs. (908 kg)

Ship Bottom Cleaner

The NLB Model SBC36-8300-15A allows a single operator to remove coatings from ship bottoms. It is pneumatically operated, with handle-mounted controls for high-pressure water, SPIN JET® rotation, cart movement and cleaning head height adjustment. Vacuum recovery of water and debris is optional.
Other specialized systems are also available. Contact NLB for details.

• Cleans overhead horizontal surfaces.

• Optional vacuum recovery

• Self-propelled, up to 5 feet per minute (1.5 m/min.).

• Maximum pressure 40,000 psi (2,800 bar), maximum flow 6 gpm (23 lpm).

• Height adjustment from 40.5” to 70.5” (103 to 179 cm)

SRT-10 CRAWLER

The Model SRT-10 Crawler is an automated surface preparation system that quickly strips vertical and horizontal surfaces, like tank walls and floors, or ship hulls and decks.

The SRT-10 Crawler uses vacuum to grip the surface and recover wastewater and debris. A winch skid assembly with locking pulleys (included) acts as a fall arrest system and allows the operator to quickly position the Crawler on vertical surfaces. The system is driven and steered by pneumatically powered wheels, not by the cable system.

The entire system is operated from a control console, allowing the operator the best location to view the work area.

NLB’s SRT-10 Crawler also utilizes a rotating center hub design that allows the crawler to clean both up-and-down and side-to-side on vertical surfaces without the need to re-rig the system.

FEATURES/BENEFITS

• Vacuum recovery of water
and debris

• Remotely operated

• Horizontal and vertical movement

• Fall arrest system

• Removes epoxies, paints and other coatings

• Cleans over welds/plates up to 1/2” (12.7 mm) surface deviation
